About Us
Stony Mountain Family campground was opened in 1963 .My wife and I became the proud new owners in September of 2008. We are in the final stages of the electrical sytem upgrade. We worked on sites to accomadate larger RV's. Along with the site work the roads through out the campground were improved. We plan on using our camping experience to further improve the campground. Together with our daughter Nicole, son James and grandson Kaleb we will do our best to provide your family with a memorable camping experience.
With over 57 acres of wooded and open area to enjoy , we are located in the heart of the Endless Mountains just 4.7 miles northwest of the historical town of Tunkhannock.We have weekend activities planned through out the camping season. There is a 12 acre lake that is stocked with bass, perch, walleye and many more. There is also a lodge to enjoy some indoor activities. Stony Mountain has the largest indoor facility in the area. The Longhorn Lodge is full of things to do. Pool table,and foosball just to mention a few. Video games dart board and small children games. Did we mention a store with light groceries and camping supplies. Propane firewood and ice are always available. There has been improvements made to the campground since taking ownership of the campground. See our pictures of improvements. Call for us today for more information and reservations.
